WELCOME TO TOOGOODOO
After many wonderful years of running Toogoodoo, we have made the difficult decision to close our gates after this final 2020 holiday season. Our hearts are heavy; we cherish the loyal customers who visit year after year and have passed the U-Cut tradition down to their children. We have been hit hard in recent years, with severe flooding and storms that have destroyed our crop, with COVID-19 as the final nail in our coffin. And our small business is no longer viable. This year, we plan to open for two weekends in December to clear our fields. There will be no Fraser Firs, Toogie the talking tree, or train rides, only U-Cut trees. Thank you to all of our customers who have allowed us to share our family tradition with you. We are honored to have been a part of your holiday magic.
We hope to convert our farm to a new crop and serve our customers differently in the future.
We have been overwhelmed with requests from photographers; we are not hosting professional photoshoots on our property at this time. Customers who purchase a tree are welcome to take photos.
"Customers may leave with a tree tied on top of their car, but the real product harvested here is holiday magic. A canopy of Christmas lights and seasonal music playing over a loudspeaker set the enchanted mood; a crackling fire and the lure of gooey, roasted marshmallows reward lumberjacks who’ve worked up an appetite sawing down trees. In a spirit of hospitality, the Walters take kids on train rides around the farm. “It’s part of the Toogoodoo experience; it’s become part of their holiday tradition. People make a whole day of it. They appreciate the noncommercial atmosphere. Here they can take a break from the hustle and bustle, enjoy the outdoors, and remember what the season is all about.”
